Blackberry Installation Instructions

Note There are two different versions of this Blackberry app: one for newer models with touchscreens, and one with no support for touchscreens, which can be used on older models
The Touchscreen app requires OS 5.0 or higher, and will also run on newer models with no touchscreen;
the Standard app requires OS 4.6 or higher (it will also work on newer models, but without touch features).
There will be a minute-long delay the very first time you start this app, while it uncompresses session data. Please leave the app running until you see the menu.
Download Directly to Blackberry (1.6 MB):
  • For Touchscreens: open the following link: ASCRS2011_bb.jad on your Blackberry.
  • For other Blackberries: open the following link: 46/ASCRS2011_bb.jad on your Blackberry.
  • Answer "Yes" to make this a "trusted application."
  • Once installed, the app (with an ASCRS 2011 icon) will appear in your Downloads folder.
  • Note: Requires Blackberry OS 4.6 or higher, or OS 5.0 for the Touscreen version.

If you have previously installed v1.0 of this app, you may need to restart or even remove the battery briefly after installing the new version
Download from Blackberry Desktop Manager on your PC or Mac:
  • For Touchscreens: download and uncompress the following zip file: ASCRS2011_bb.zip
  • For other Blackberries: download and uncompress the folowing zip file: ASCRS2011_bb.zip
  • Add it to your Applications in Blackberry Desktop Manager by browsing to the .alx file from the .zip folder, then sync with your phone.
  • Once installed, find the app in your Downloads folder. You will need to answer "Yes" when it asks for permission to run.
  • Note: Requires Blackberry OS 4.6 or higher, or OS 5.0 for the Touscreen version.
